Prevention Source BC (PSBC), under contract with the Alcohol-Drug Education Service, is funded by the Province of British Columbia, through the Ministry of Health Services Tobacco Control Branch. Established in 1996 by the Ministry of Health and Ministry Responsible for Seniors, PSBC is the provincial clearinghouse for information and support on the prevention and control of tobacco misuse. Free of charge, PSBC provides prevention, cessation and enforcement resources to all BC health and education professionals, school and community-based prevention workers, government and non-government agencies, health authorities and any organization working in tobacco prevention, cessation or control. PSBC also offers support, networking services, and prevention planning information to professionals working in the tobacco field in British Columbia.
